We also welcome wedding party guests and those attending family occasions, or theatre goers to the Robinson Institute.

Central to many of the areas tourist attractions, such as Whitby (Captain Cook and Dracula), Goathland (Heartbeat country), Grosmont (North Yorkshire Moors Railway), Danby (Moors National Park Visitor Centre) Staithes (artist group), Saltburn (pier and surfing), Hutton le Hole (Ryedale Folk Museum), Lealholm, Castleton, Rosedale, Common Dale, Westerdale and Great Fryup Dale; we offer a relaxed haven away from the madding crowd.

Biker Friendly

Motorcyclists are always welcome and we can provide secure garage parking for your motorcycle. ‘Greenhowe’ offers a superb location for bikers to enjoy some of the best biking roads and Green Lanes in Britain. We are more than happy to direct you to some of our favourites.

Coast to Coast Walk

‘Greenhowe’ is directly on the official C2C footpath, a steady 9 mile descent from the Lion Inn on Blakey Ridge, or 19 miles from Clay Bank for the more adventurous. The last leg to Robin Hoods Bay can be completed in one or two days. The 3 main Walking Holiday and Baggage Transfer companies (Sherpa Van, Pack Horse and Brigantes) visit us on a regular basis, and we are happy to take bookings through them, or directly.

We offer all the usual BnB and guesthouse holiday accommodation facilities, including evening meals, packed lunches, free WiFi, FreeSat TV, free parking, bicycle and motorcycle secure storage in our garage, guest pick-ups and drop-offs.
